Technician Avionics & Instruments
A hands-on role for a Technician Avionics & Instruments in Oude Meer, near Schiphol. The daily work revolves around testing, repairing and calibrating aircraft communication and navigation electronics at PCB level. All from a well-equipped workshop with international colleagues.
A role for someone who enjoys detailed bench work and takes pride in keeping aircraft systems reliable.
Wat ga je doen
The daily reality as a Technician Avionics & Instruments is practical and hands-on. The work takes place at a well-equipped bench in a modern workshop near Schiphol, surrounded by international colleagues and structured quality processes.
Your day-to-day activities include:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults on avionics modules at PCB level - think cockpit panels, navigation units, communication systems, multiplexers and power control units
- Running test sequences and measurements with specialized equipment to pinpoint and verify faults
- Soldering and repairing hardware, working with both through-hole and SMD components
- Calibrating and adjusting modules to meet strict aviation tolerances
- Documenting test results, repair actions and traceability data according to established procedures
This is bench-level electronics work, not aircraft line maintenance or structural repairs. The rhythm alternates between focused hands-on repairs and careful documentation. Both are equally important: a well-executed repair only counts when it's properly recorded.
The shift pattern is day shift with flexible start times between 06:00 and 09:00. Throughout the day, there's regular interaction with other technical specialists and inspection teams.
