Reactie binnen 3 dagen Makkelijk solliciteren
Work on electronics, avionics, test setups and repair procedures in a role that connects engineering and the shopfloor. As Product Engineer – Avionics & Instruments in Hoofddorp you develop and validate test equipment, expand repair capabilities and support technicians with troubleshooting and data-driven improvements. Daily work alternates between the technical office and the workshop, with hands-on validation and documentation tasks. A role for someone who feels at home in electronics, troubleshooting and practical improvements.

Wat ga je doen

The Product Engineer – Avionics & Instruments operates at the intersection of electronics, avionics, test engineering and workshop support. Day-to-day activities combine hands-on validation with structured engineering work aimed at making repair and test processes more reliable and repeatable. Typical responsibilities include:
  • Designing, building and validating test rigs, test benches and measurement setups for avionics and electronic components.
  • Writing, improving and releasing repair procedures and technical work instructions tailored for shopfloor use.
  • Analyzing faults, measurement data and reliability information to find root causes and practical improvements.
  • Supporting technicians during complex repairs and fault diagnoses on the shopfloor; translating findings into lasting fixes.
  • Specifying or modifying tooling, test jigs and workshop equipment to enable new repair capabilities.
  • Coordinating with product owners, certification engineers and other technical specialists when new capabilities are introduced or updated.
This role is not a purely execution-only technician job, nor is it a purely desk-based engineering function. Expect to switch between detailed technical design, data analysis, hands-on validation and clear documentation that technicians can use directly.

Waar ga je werken

An international specialist in aircraft component maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) that focuses on technical solutions for avionics and electronic components. The working environment is pragmatic and technically driven, with cross-functional teams that combine shopfloor know-how, engineering and certification. The culture values analytical thinking, practical problem solving and long-term technical development without corporate jargon.

Wat wij zoeken

This helps you to quickly find your way in the role:
  • A technical degree in electrical engineering, electronics, avionics or a related field (BSc/MSc or equivalent).
  • Practical experience with electronics, test equipment or measurement setups and an interest in fault analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and produce technical documentation in English for both engineering and shopfloor audiences.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming (Python, C++ or similar) is a useful addition for test automation and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of avionics systems or prior experience in aerospace/MRO helps to connect quickly to the daily practice of the workshop.
These points are written to invite self-selection and to explain what helps you to start well, rather than as absolute filters.

Wat wij bieden

In practice this fulltime role (40 hours) is based in Hoofddorp and combines technical office work with presence in the workshop. Hybrid working and flexible hours are possible where they fit with testing, validation and shopfloor alignment. The employment conditions are aligned with experience and qualifications. In concrete terms this means for you:
  • Work split between engineering tasks and hands-on validation on the shopfloor, with the ability to work from home when not needed for tests.
  • 27–29 vacation days for a fulltime role, plus 13 ADV days per year.
  • Collaboration with experienced engineers, product owners and certification specialists on technically substantive projects.
  • Competitive salary package in line with knowledge and experience; occasional travel depending on project needs.
Highlights to expect: hybrid working flexibility, visible influence on repair quality and reliability, and regular technical collaboration with experienced specialists.
