At the Blindeweg workshop in Rotterdam, an international train manufacturer is overhauling driverless metro trains from Copenhagen. All electrical installations come out and are rebuilt from scratch. We are looking for 3 electrical fitters to start as soon as possible. Day shift, fixed team, work you won't find anywhere else.
Wat ga je doen
You work on the electrical side of the overhaul: everything out, everything back in from scratch.
- Remove existing electrical installations and components
- Wire and fit distribution and switch cabinets, lighting, PA and fire detection
- Connect, test and support commissioning
- Work with wiring diagrams and documentation
- Document your work
Also a good fit for an electrician, panel builder, cable fitter or mechatronics technician from another industry. Rail experience is not required.
Waar ga je werken
A modern workshop in Rotterdam where a compact team works on distinctive rail vehicles such as metro trains and locomotives. Projects vary from months-long full rebuilds to quicker repairs, all carried out in a workshop equipped for complex electrical and mechanical work.
Wat wij zoeken
- MBO 3 or 4 (or equivalent vocational level) in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
- Experience with wiring or electrical installations, or freshly qualified at MBO-4 level and keen to learn the trade
- Able to read wiring diagrams
- Dutch or English
- VCA-VOL and forklift certificate, or willing to obtain them
